Kanchanaburi War Cemetery

While we were in Thailand, I felt that we should visit the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery.

I have photographed so many Royal British Legion Wreath Laying Ceremonies in Bath over the last 20 years, watching the numbers of the Death Railway prisoners dwindle each year.

The Cemetery contains the remains of 6982 young Allied Prisoners who died building the railway.

Bridge over the River Kwae

After Kanchanaburi War Cemetery we visited the Bridge over the River Kwae.
Then had a trip down the river in one of those boats with a car engine and very long propeller that you see in the James Bond Films.
Finally we went to visit the death camp museum.

I found this puppy at Trash and Treasure (car boot sale) I though it was a boxer puppy,
but the owner said it was a JUG Jack Russel / Pug cross.
