Last Friday was the end of an era as the Bath Chronicle prepared to go weekly,
I was one of the fifteen staff to go.
It’s a strange feeling volunteering to leave a job after 20 years, but I think I made the right decision as I have seen the best years of the Chronicle as a daily.
And I hope the new 250-page weekly will be a great success, but I would have missed the immediacy that a daily paper brings.
Editor Sam Holliday presents me with my traditional front page, slightly different from the usual one as I shared it with 14 other staff members.
Two of my fellow escapees, reporters Laura Matless and Polly March say goodbye, I think they just wanted the fame of getting on the Farr Family Blog Really.
