Wind up Walking stick at the Ideal Home Show!

During our visit to the Ideal Homes Show at Earls Court we met Mr Windup Radio (Trevor Baylis) with the latest product from his company TCL Products.
 It’s a wind up folding walking stick with two torches, flashing led strobe lights, a warning horn and a magnet to pick up dropped keys.

 This young lady talked me into two of these for the Grandchildren.

 

Wendy fell for the Zero Gravity Chair.

On the 17th April 1960 Eddie Cochran Died.

He died in a crash on the way back to Heathrow, when the Ford Consul he was travelling back to London in struck a lamp post.

 

 This is the plaque commemorating 

Eddie at the site.

He died the following day in 

St Martin’s Hospital in Bath.

Woolworths Frome

I noticed today that Frome Woolworths is to reopen as Iceland; I hope that some of the former staff members are given priority for the new jobs!

On a recent visit to Worksop I spotted this signboard.
It’s  about as over the top as a bad taste signboard can get.

Holiday on the Isle of Wight

 

We are off to Devon for a few days soon with the grandchildren.
