Welcome to Nottingham

We are in Nottingham at the moment, it’s just like Bath
they greet visitors with a £50 parking ticket in the
first hour to ensure they don't stay!

The streets have a mixture old and new buildings,
I don’t think they would get away with this in Bath.

It seems all Trams and Ferris Wheels!
This is for Nicky and Helen.
Off to York on Tuesday, hope we get a better welcome there!

Fires in Australia

The dreadful fires in Australia have reminded us of our visit early last year.
In particular the trip to Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve where the trees still show signs of the fires of January 2003.

The visitors centre has the remains of a fire fighters bag left on the footpath.

The Canberra Museum has a dishwasher from one of the thirty five homes destroyed on Somerset Street Duffy less than 7 miles from Parliament House in Canberra.
