Labrador in Saltford this afternoon.

Peppa Pig

It will soon be Lottie’s second birthday, and Peppa Pig is the favourite at the moment.
This is my design for the front of her birthday party invitation.

I was photographing a modern City Centre flat
and the light fittings on the landing caught my eye.

This strangely shaped rectangular cast iron
Victorian urinal can be found in Sydney Gardens in Bath.
Now it stands next to a modern toilet block.

Zawose Family

I was working at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios in Box this week and spotted this van.
I wondered who the Zawose family were, and then met them performing at a school the following day.

Hubcaps

Spotted today through a broken cellar window in a smart area of Bath.
Where you would expect a collection of painting or antiques, not hubcaps!

Helen

It’s difficult to think our beautiful little Helen is 30 today; it only seems yesterday when she was born at St Martins Hospital.
This picture was taken when I put a mirror behind the camera, gave her the remote release to take her own picture.
She decided to play me at my own game and touch her nose with her tongue while going cross-eyed.
Fortunately she didn’t get stuck like this and has given us the joy of two lovely granddaughters.

Tony Robinson and Time Team

In September 2002 the Time Team crew from channel four visited Bath to make a programme about the Royal Crescent.
Here Tony Robinson chats to pupils from the local junior school on a site visit.

Big Thunder Mountain

In 1992 we went with a reader’s trip to Disneyland Paris; it was a photographer’s nightmare.
The object was to photograph our readers in the park, so I thought the best way was to give maps to the party and agree who to meet at particular rides at exact times.
The problem was that if people had been in a queue for 45 minutes for another ride they wouldn’t leave to meet me at the agreed ride.
But I ended up with enough pictures for a double page spread, and even persuaded Wendy who hates roller coasters to come on the Runaway Mine Train that goes around Big Thunder Mountain.

Green Street House

The owners of Green Street House Collette and Betsi were stars of a Channel Four fly on the wall documentary "Risking it All" in 2003.
You will notice the lens between them as I became the target of the TV crew.
But my moment of fame faded when I didn’t make it into the final cut!

Cardiff Docks

This looks like a prop from a Science Fiction Filmset, it’s on the docks at Cardiff.
Actually it's a memorial to the merchant seamen who sailed from the ports of Cardiff, Penarth and Barry during the Second World War, never to return.

Terry Pratchett

An unpublished picture of author Terry Pratchett in the Observatory he was building in the grounds of his house.
As I took this in 2002, it’s a fair assumption he’s sold enough books to install his telescope by now!
