A familiar face around Bath, Tony was first noticed in the Nescafe coffee advert and now seems to have  been in everything including Buffy, Little Britain, Doctor Who, Monarch of the Glen, Macbeth and currently on your screens as Uther Pendragon in Merlin.

Nicolas Cage turns on Bath Xmas lights on Thursday.

Thursday 26th November, Bath's Christmas lights will be switched on by Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage.
Entertainment will start at 4:30pm with the switch on just after 6 on the stage in Milsom Street, Shoppers coming into Bath to watch the switch-on will be able to park for FREE in the SouthGate and Podium car parks from 4pm until 9pm.

Storm Brings Down Tree in Combe Hay.

The heavy storms on Saturday brought down part of a very large tree in the Avenue just after 2am.
 The road was blocked for some time, but cleared before I stuck my nose out of the door at 9.30.
When Helen came out early to sort out her horses she had to park and walk the last half mile.

WENDY AND THE DEMON STATUES.

The largest airport in Thailand is planning to relocate 12 giant “demon statues” in a bid to calm facility employees who believe bad luck is attached to the figures.
The statues located in the arrival concourse of Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport will be moved to the check-in area at a cost of around US$54,785.
 The “demon statues” have been blamed by shopkeepers for the problems they have endured at the facility, where supporters of the People’s Alliance of Democracy (PAD) had carried a siege last year and had threatened violence which had paralysed the whole country and has severely damaged its reputation as a calm and peace loving nation.
In a bid to boost morale of people working at the airport, the report said that the guardian spirit statues will be transported from the inner area of the passenger terminal to the check-in zone.
But moving the statues is not a matter to be taken lightly.
Buddhists believe the demons to be symbols of anger, strength and power.
Some astrologers are warning shifting them to a new location could bring more bad luck.
They have suggested a safer option could be to turn them to face a different direction.
