This lonely glove in Oldfield Park seems to be waving a sad goodbye, perhaps to the person who left it damp and dirty but maybe to the snow of 2010.

New Bond Street Bath in the 70s
The Plummer Roddis block shortly before demolition and rebuilding looking almost the same.
Its Habitat now but was one of Bath's 5 department stores from the heyday of shopping in Bath when we had three fresh fish shops and five butchers in the city centre, plenty of free parking and no trouble from parking wardens or civil enforcement officers as they call them now.

Evil Genius (Bread) but Warburton bread is worse
Wendy is a Coeliac and has to avoid gluten, last year she found Genius Bread which is the nearest thing to real bread, in fact she gets it on prescription.
All went well until a few months ago when we started to find large air holes which makes it very difficult to make her favorite toasted sandwiches.
We complained to the company and they asked for batch numbers and details so they could chase the bakery.
Today I cut this slice and when I went to photograph it I found this really evil face.
Update 2 Warburtons launch a Gluten free bread, we tried one today and it fell to bits when we opened the pack only thee slices surviving whole.
Your going to have to try harder Mr Warburton, long live Genius.

UPDATE
Genius have written with apologies for the holes in the bread and offered to send a free case of bread, but as I'm a pensioner and don't pay for the bread, that is effectively a gift to the N.H.S. all I want is bread with no big holes.Update 2 Warburtons launch a Gluten free bread, we tried one today and it fell to bits when we opened the pack only thee slices surviving whole.

If you go down in the woods today.
Well if you go down to Combe Hay today, the road is blocked just below the pub for essential drainage works for the next five days.

Royal Security
I don't now how the security failed in the attack on the Royal car. They are usually so careful, just before Camilla arrived to turn on the Bath Xmas lights the police decided a cycle chained to a cycle rack opposite the shop could be a bomb and quickly used bolt cutters to remove it.
Hypocaust found under the Roman Baths gift shop.
When the Roman Baths gift shop on the corner of York Street was rebuilt some years ago this hypocaust was revealed by the building works, and is now part of the Roman Baths museum.
