This is George Davis the power behind Next and Per Una visiting the Bath Per Una in Marks and Spencer in 2004
Mr Davis has just announced his new GIV chain; the stores are being promoted as offering affordable luxury and aimed at women over the age of 30.
Stores feature in-store stylists and tailors to help customers get the look they want.
Shoppers will be able to have minor alterations on purchases free of charge as part of the drive to put the customer in charge.
The stores are being promoted as offering affordable luxury but come at a time when the recession has claimed numerous high street scalps.

Found a digital card in Bath
I picked up a digital card in Terrace Walk Bath today; the only name on the card is Peter Logan.
And the pictures seem to have a canal theme, though he has been to Australia

Another small frog.
The tiny frog we found in the garden in July must have grown because this is the latest one captured in Andys hat.

Jane Austen Festival
Took Wendy to work and discovered it was the first Saturday of the Jane Austen Festival with the Regency Costumed Promenade through the streets of Bath.
Loads of butch looking chaps and pretty ladies, including one with a buggy and baby.

We’ve got fairies at the bottom of the garden.
Question from my Granddaughter “Granddad are fairies real!”
My answer was “just as real as Father Christmas” which seemed to settle the matter.
Then a few days after this conversation a door and widows appeared about 6 foot up a tree at the bottom of the garden.

We walk past the tree very quietly and know if we open the door the fairies will go.
Amazing what happens when you believe in fairies.

New Bed Mate.
I was woken in the night with something on my face, thinking it must be a fly I brushed it off.
We woke up in the morning to find a grasshopper in the bed, it had survived the night without being rolled upon.

Victorian Gas Holders.
Two unlikely Bath landmarks are in the process of being removed.
The dismantling of two of three gas towers at Windsor Bridge has started.
The Victorian structures that most people seemed to think were listed should be down within a month.

Hospital Food Bingo
A good friend has been in hospital much too long and started a blog NOTES FROM A HOSPITAL BED.
He's taken to photographing his meals so I thought it would make a good bingo game for him.
A line in any direction entitles you to a free Bed Bath.

Heres something to cheer up a wet September, I noticed that Can Can girls are a popular search on the blog so I made a blog with nothing but Can Can girls.
