This stature of a Sheppard in Abergavenny has a small sign warning against climbing on the statue.
No wonder the sheep look worried!

Kennet and Avon blocked at Bath
The Kennet and
I’m told the boat was hired only a few hundred yards away on Saturday.

Dyson Blade
Though they were announced a year ago I spotted a Dyson Blade hand dryer for the first time yesterday.
It produces an air stream flowing at 400mph. This unheated air is channelled through a 0.3 millimetre gap, no thicker than an eyelash.
A sheet of air acts like an invisible windscreen wiper to wipe moisture from hands leaving them completely dry.
It’s yours for around £600 + VAT; maybe I’m not hanging around the right washrooms!
This one is at The Mall Cribbs Causeway.

Footnote: it cost £2000 to insure it for our motoring correspondent to drive for the weekend!

Heat reflecting foil from Apollo 12.

Kennet and Avon Canal
Over 25 years ago the village organised a trip up the Kennet and
I can’t remember whether the barge had a breakdown or ran out of fuel but it makes little difference.
We had to get out and tow the barge home by hand.
